Alison Carpenter councillor for Clewer & Dedworth East

Alison has lived in Windsor for more than 13 years. Alison Carpenter councillor for Clewer & Dedworth East, was elected to represent the ward in 2023.

She believes local government should focus on local issues rather than national party politics. Her approach is to listen to residents, understand the issues affecting them and work to find practical solutions.

Alongside her council work, Alison is heavily involved in local community life and supports projects that bring residents together and improve the area.

As a councillor, her work ranges from individual resident casework to highways, planning, housing, environmental issues and community safety.

This creates a formal record and sends the issue to the relevant service team.

Keep the reference number. If the issue is not resolved, contact Alison and include the reference so she can help follow it up.

More than council meetings

Alongside her role as Alison Carpenter councillor for Clewer & Dedworth East, she is Secretary of Clewer & Dedworth Together CIC, helping to organise community events and initiatives throughout the area.

This includes community fairs, fundraising activities and Rock the Rec, bringing residents together while supporting community projects and local causes.

Alison is also involved with Windsor & Eton Pride and supports the West Windsor Repair Café.

Community involvement is an important part of her approach to being a councillor: being visible, accessible and involved in the places she represents.
