The Royal Borough needs your feedback on plans to balance the budget and fund essential services from April 2025.
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฑ๐ฒ:– A ยฃ127.4m spending plan, up by ยฃ36m, to rebuild vital services 
– A request to Government for a ยฃ60.3m loan and permission to raise council tax by 20% above the cap 
– Protecting vulnerable residents from the additional council tax rise 
– Continued support options like discretionary council tax relief and payment plans 
๐ช๐ต๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐?Without significant support from Government, the council could face issuing a Section 114 notice, effectively declaring bankruptcy, and limiting spending to only essential services.
