Did you know that RBWM run a residents’ discount scheme for parking in several borough car parks including 3 in Windsor. The leader of the council, this morning, announced that he wanted to extend this to street parking if they get re-elected, which is something that should have been introduced in the first place as the car parks that have been chosen rarely have capacity.
Also whilst at Alma Road car park this morning I did some research and asked several people if they lived in the borough and, if so, whether they had heard about the residents discount scheme – 100% of those asked didn’t know it even existed. Perhaps this is why only 5,287 residents have signed up for it – or perhaps the others tried but found it too complex, or simply refuse to use the Ring-go app.
If I am successful in becoming a councillor for Clewer and Dedworth East I want to review this current scheme and make it easier for residents to register and use the scheme.
